Brendan Duffey boasts an impressive career in audio, spanning over 25 years collaborating with renowned artists globally. A seasoned multi-instrumentalist, Brendan's musical journey began in bands, live sound, and local recording studios, setting the foundation for his journey in engineering. Graduating with a B.S. in Recording Arts from CSU Chico, he ventured to São Paulo, Brazil, where he established a thriving recording facility, making significant contributions to music, advertising, and film for over a decade.
After a successful tenure, Brendan returned to California, assuming a professorial role for the advanced audio courses at American River College. Concurrently, he founded a purpose-built Dolby ATMOS mastering facility in partnership with Million Dollar Snare as a pioneer in the new, immersive format. Brendan's academic pursuits led him to Berklee College of Music's Music Business Masters program, where he currently researches the future-state audio landscape.
Renowned for pushing boundaries, Brendan consistently delivers exceptional work for industry giants, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene. Noteworthy achievements include ATMOS mastering for legendary rock catalogs, contributing to Muni Long's Grammy-winning "Hrs & Hrs" (2022), and accumulating 15 Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations and awards. His collaborative roster includes luminaries such as Sheryl Crow, Devin Townsend, Milton Nascimento, Ella Mai, and more, underscoring Brendan's unwavering dedication to his craft and his enduring success in the dynamic landscape of the music industry.
