Nicolas de Porcel is a first-generation, American Mastering Engineer from San Francisco, CA. His origins in the world of audio begin at age 12, when he began to produce digital music, becoming a pioneer of early Digital Audio Workstations. He is a classically trained pianist and has charted multiple productions all over the globe. His studies of music theory, production, audio engineering, and music technology eventually led him to begin mastering audio, and in 2016 he founded Million Dollar Snare Mastering, which would go on to become a globally recognized, critically-acclaimed mastering studio.
His credits include Roddy Ricch and the mastering of his album, "Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial" which spawned the #1 smash hit, "The Box", which has currently sold over 10,000,000 copies and is certified RIAA Diamond (one of only 75 in history). "The Box" is one of the longest charting number one singles in all of Billboard Hot 100 history. The "Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial" album went #1 for four weeks on the Billboard 200 and was the longest charting rap debut since 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'".
Nicolas's credits also include Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem, DaBaby, Summer Walker, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, The Kid Laroi, Money Man, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Rowdy Rebel, Cozz, Bas, J. Cole, and many more.
The Recording Academy has nominated five of his works, strengthening his engineering foothold in the genres of Hip-Hop, Pop, and Dance music.
As of November 2021, Nicolas has currently mastered 5% of the Billboard Top 200 Albums and Billboard Hot 100 Songs, solidifying the Million Dollar Snare sound within popular music.
